{contact.email_greeting}, An important success factor for The Lung Association of Saskatchewan is that we are building on the legacy of 103 years of service in Saskatchewan. Over the years many staff and board members have made substantial contributions to bring us to the level where we are today, and we remain grateful to them. We were saddened to learn of the passing of a former staff member, Alma Leclerc. Alma was a TB sanatorium nurse who transitioned to become a health educator with The Lung Association. Her early work to help patients cope with asthma and COPD (which in Alma’s day were still called chronic bronchitis and emphysema) set the stage for our current chronic disease management programs. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her husband, Con.
