JOE FAFARD AND OTHER SASKATCHEWAN ARTISTS TEAM UP WITH THE LUNG ASSOCIATION TO PROMOTE LUNG HEALTH
Regina, April 2 “ Three Saskatchewan artists, Joe Fafard, Donna Kriekle, and Bob Boyer, have teamed up with the Lung Association to promote lung health for Saskatchewan residents.  Our third annual ArtWorks for Lung Health is a campaign that features original or edition artworks by three of our outstanding citizens.
The ArtWorks for Lung Health campaign is limited to supporters of the Lung Association.  It is an opportunity for the Lung Association to thank the many people who have given to the Lung Association by inviting them to participate in a draw for three spectacular pieces of art. No donation or payment of any kind is necessary to participate unless an individual has not made a donation to the Lung Association and they would like to be included in the draw. The ArtWorks for Lung Health Draw will take place April 28th.
Internationally acclaimed artist Mr. Joe Fafard generously donated a bronze bust valued at $5,500 to the ArtWorks for Lung Health Draw. Donna Kriekle and Bob Boyer have contributed an original watercolour and chalk pastel respectively. All three artists agree that breathing is something that we all do and that we take for granted until we have difficulties. Adds Mr. Fafard, We can't enjoy everyday pleasures like sports, work, family and friends if we have a breathing problem. Please visit www.sk.lung.ca/artworksfor more information on our ArtWorks For Lung Health Draw, our artists and their work.
The Lung Association is committed to protecting the lung health of the people of Saskatchewan. With the generous support of the public and the help of our volunteers, we have seen many advances against lung disease and have developed programs and services for our residents. You will find the Lung Association, the premier source for respiratory health initiatives in the province, active in your community conducting programs on asthma, COPD and sleep apnea, providing training for health professionals, delivering health education in our schools, and facilitating patient support groups and lobbying for clean air.
