SASKATCHEWAN RESIDENTS WIN VALUABLE ARTWORKS PRIZES
Regina, April 26, 2004 “ Annually the Lung Association of Saskatchewan hosts an ArtWorks for Lung Health Campaign. This year's artists Robert Bateman, Allen Sapp, Glen Scrimshaw, and Wee Lee, donated beautiful, limited edition prints to the campaign.
Â
Saskatoon resident Bruce Noton is the winner of Robert Bateman's ˜Lucas Porch' and Isabelle McLennan of Rabbit Lake won Allen Sapp's ˜Nokum Enjoying the Game'. Regina residents Stanley Meachem and Lois Reid won the other two limited edition prints, ˜Spirit In The Sky' by Glen Scrimshaw and ˜Spring Drummer' by Wee Lee.
When asked why she supports The Lung Association, Lois Reid, a retired registered nurse responded, from working in the health care profession, I know how difficult it is when someone has difficulty breathing. Â One in every three people in Saskatchewan will be affected by lung disease at some point in their lives.
This is the fourth year that The Lung Association has hosted the ArtWorks for Lung Health campaign. The draw is limited to supporters of The Lung Association and it is an opportunity for The Lung Association to thank the many people who have given to The Lung Association by inviting them to participate in a draw for four spectacular pieces of art. No donation or payment of any kind was necessary to participate. The ArtWorks for Lung Health draw took place at the offices of The Lung Association in Saskatoon on April 26.
