Henry Ripplinger, Val Moker, Glen Scrimshaw, and Robert Bateman donate works of art to The LAS
Regina, February 28 “ Four renowned artists, Henry Ripplinger, Glen Scrimshaw, Val Moker, and Robert Bateman, have teamed up with the Lung Association to promote lung health for Saskatchewan residents.
Â
The ArtWorks for Lung Health Campaign is limited to supporters of the Lung Association. It is an opportunity for our Board of Directors and Staff to thank the many people who have given to the Lung Association by inviting them to participate in a draw for four spectacular pieces of art. No donation or payment of any kind is necessary to participate, although we do invite our donors to renew their support to the Lung Association. In Saskatoon on April 25, 2005 four entries will be drawn randomly from all entries.
Respiratory disease is the number one cause of hospitalization for Saskatchewan babies and children so the need for pediatric lung specialists is critical. In November 2004 donor support made it possible for us to recruit a second pediatric respirologist to our province, Dr. Bryce Lothian. Please visit our website at www.sk.lung.ca/artworks for more information on the ArtWorks For Lung Health Campaign, our artists and their work and www.sk.lung.ca to learn more about The Lung Association..
The Lung Association is committed to protecting the lung health of the people of Saskatchewan. With the generous support of the public and the help of our volunteers, we have seen many advances against lung disease and have developed programs and services for our residents. You will find the Lung Association, the premier source for respiratory health initiatives in the province, active in your community conducting programs on asthma, COPD and sleep apnea, providing training for health professionals, delivering health education in our schools, and facilitating patient support groups and lobbying for clean air.
