Aspirin risk for 2m asthmatics

ASPIRIN can trigger asthma attacks in one in five people who suffer from the respiratory illness, researchers said yesterday.

Previous figures suggested that only 10 per cent of sufferers were at risk of aspirin-induced asthma. But a study by doctors in the UK and Australia calculated that 21 per cent of adults with asthma were sensitive to the common drug, which is also used in a wide variety of cold remedies.
