Children still choke on parents' smoke

Smoking is the single greatest cause of avoidable disease and death in the developed world.

Smoking kills more than 45,000 Canadians each year. Tobacco smoke and its byproducts kill not only smokers but also non-smokers.

This week, U.S. Surgeon-General Richard Carmona released a landmark report entitled The Health Consequences of Involuntary Exposure to Tobacco Smoke.
