REGINA -- Saskatchewan's health minister says he wants to see the province become smoke-free within the next couple of years -- before the rest of Canada leaves us in the dust.
"People will come to our province and say, 'How come you allow smoking where we eat?' " John Nilson said Monday. "They already say that."
Without a smoke-free environment, Nilson fears Saskatchewan may be losing out on the chance to host large events, such as the upcoming Canadian Medical Association's annual conference.
