Irish smoking ban improving health

Ireland’s ban on smoking in all workplaces has not only cleaned up the air in pubs and restaurants, it has also improved the health of the people who work there, according to new research.

When Ireland became the first country in the world to impose the nationwide ban in March of last year, Scotland did not take long to follow suit. MSPs voted in July to ban smoking in public places, with the legislation set to commence on March 26 next year.
