Deliver a Breath of Spring!
Saskatoon, February 16 - The Lung Association of Saskatchewan’s Breath of Spring Tulip Campaign will take place March 1st and 2nd in Saskatoon. During this time, volunteers will be delivering fresh flowers to all the businesses that placed an order. Last year's campaign raised over $50,000 provincially to help people with lung disease.
“This program requires many volunteers to make sure that all of the orders are delivered,” said Pam Jansen, Tulip Campaign Coordinator, “so we are asking people to donate some time and help out.”
Volunteers can choose a morning or afternoon shift on March 1st or a morning shift on March 2nd. They will need to have their own vehicles but The Lung Association will reimburse for mileage if requested. There is no selling involved for the volunteers, only delivering a ‘breath of spring’. Volunteers are also needed to sell tulips at tables set up at the 3 hospitals in
All money raised will be used to further our mission of helping everyone to have healthy lungs. For more information on how to volunteer or how to order your tulips, please call 651-3347.
