The Lung Association launches Zumba® For Lung

Saskatoon, September 7th – There is no question that a healthy lifestyle and healthy lungs are important for all of us. That is why the Lung Association is pleased to launch Zumba® For Lung as it promotes lung health, is an excellent work-out, and a fund raiser for the association. Zumba® is an exhilarating, calorie-burning Latin-inspired aerobic dance fitness program which includes exotic rhythms and high energy international beats.

All Canadians have at least one risk factor for developing lung disease such as poor air quality, environmental factors, smoking, obesity, and physical inactivity. Within our home, place of business or community, we can all put a face to lung disease. In Saskatchewan one out of every three of our residents will be affected by lung disease during their lifetime.

Zumba® for Lung is taking place on September 25th at Silverspring School. Check-in will take place from 2:00pm to 3:00pm with Zumba® and prize presentations from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. The event features certified Zumba® instructors Jill Hubick and Kelly Duncalfe-Baker.

Don’t delay purchasing your $25.00 ticket as they will sell out quickly. This is a fundraiser for the Lung Association so we are encouraging participants to collect pledges. To purchase your ticket, to learn more about Zumba® For Lung, to download your waiver, and to set up your own online giving page, please visit www.sk.lung.ca/zumba. Our fabulous top fundraising prizes including a one year Mawson Fitness Zumba® pass, a ClubMynx ‘Girls Night Out’ dance party and more. In addition to a fabulous time and a great workout, each participant will receive a free haircut from Enigma Salon and a one month pass to Mawson Fitness.

Please gather your friends and join us to Zumba® for Lung!
