Zumbathon® For Asthma

Saskatoon, January 8, 2013 – Please join the Lung Association for an official charity Zumbathon® event! The action packed 1.5 hour of non-stop Zumba® will be led by Kelly Duncalfe-Baker and her team, to raise awareness about asthma, the most common childhood chronic disease that affects 35,000 children in Saskatchewan.

Zumba® is a Latin-inspired aerobic dance fitness program which includes exotic rhythms and high energy international beats. A Zumba® event is a natural fit for The Lung Association of Saskatchewan. It emphasizes the importance of having healthy lungs and also demonstrates that people with asthma should exercise and can still lead full, active lives. No experience needed for the event, we will have instructors showing all levels, ages 10 and above are welcome.

Zumbathon® for Asthma is taking place on January 20 at the Cosmo Civic Center in Saskatoon. Registration is at 1:30 pm and the Zumbathon® is from 2:30 pm – 4:00pm. Don’t delay purchasing your ticket as they will sell out quickly. The ticket price is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased from www.sk.lung.ca or by calling 1-888-566-LUNG.

The top three fundraisers will receive prizes and for every $100 you raise, you will receive one entry into an extra draw. Gather your friends and join us to Zumbathon®for Asthma!
