Today is World TB Day. A day where health agencies across the world unite to Stop TB. At The Lung Association, Saskatchewan we have been fighting tuberculosis (TB) for over 100 years - Saskatchewan was hit hard by TB in the early 20th century, and until 1987 The Lung Association, Saskatchewan formerly The Saskatchewan Anti-TB League was responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, care and prevention of TB in Saskatchewan. Our history shaped our future and today we are seen as leaders in lung health in our province.

Even though TB is largely under control in most parts of Canada, this preventable, treatable, curable disease is still causing unnecessary deaths in Canada, and around the world. It is time for action.

With your help we can make a difference.
