Saskatoon, SK – Funding Research Ideas That Inspire. Greater success in research is achieved when we work together to find solutions to the challenges facing Saskatchewan people. That is why the Lung Association of Saskatchewan (LAS) and Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF) have partnered to fund research grants throughout Saskatchewan in support of the new Respiratory Research Center (RRC) with the shared goal of “discovery for healthy breathing”. The RRC aims to reduce risk, discover cures, save lives and improve quality of life for all Canadians.
This funding opportunity aims to breathe life into ideas that inspire by funding inter-disciplinary teams doing human health and translational research projects with the aim of applying that knowledge for the benefit of patients.
These teams may request up to $25,000 in funding to complete one-year research projects that position them for success in obtaining further funding for their ideas. Together SHRF and LAS have $100,000 available for the Inspire grant competition, which is enough to fund at least four collaborative teams with ideas that will inspire innovation in the area of respiratory health.
