Regina — The Lung Association, Saskatchewan is all about breathing. “Protecting lung health, preventing lung disease and ensuring that the right resources are available in your community when you need them is our primary focus and highest priority, says President and CEO, Susan Cron. “Air quality is essential to lung health and we are so very grateful to the residents of Saskatchewan and SaskEnergy and Network Members for supporting our Share The Air Raffle.”
The official draw ceremony for the 2017 Share The Air Raffle took place on Friday, June 9, 2017 at SaskEnergy’s Corporate Offices in Regina. Congratulations to Germain Dauk of Naicam who is the grand prize winners of $48,915 in tax-free cash. When asked why he supports The Lung Association, Saskatchewan and the Share The Air Raffle, Germain responded, “I support The Lung Association, Saskatchewan because my mother passed away from lung disease when I was just 11 years old and I myself have experienced shortness of breath.”
All 83 prizes, including gift cards, cash, and electronics prizes were also drawn. Winners’ names will be posted on The Lung Association, Saskatchewan website at raffle.sk.lung.ca and published in the Regina Leader-Post and the Saskatoon StarPhoenix on Saturday, June 17. Winners will also be notified by telephone or letter.
On average we breathe over 22,000 times a day and 90% of our time is spent indoors. To help you protect the air quality in your home, The Lung Association, Saskatchewan encourages testing for radon gas, this tasteless, odorless gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Please contact our provincial office at 1-888-566-LUNG (5864) with your questions about radon or if you would like to purchase a test kit.
