MONTREAL — A man who lost part of a lung to cancer and a woman who says she's a nicotine addict were given the go-ahead Monday to launch separate class-action lawsuits against three major Canadian tobacco companies.
Quebec Superior Court Justice Pierre Jasmin approved the suits against Imperial Tobacco, Rothmans, Benson & Hedges and JTI-MacDonald, all of whom could be liable for damages.
